How to Heal your Inner Child

What is Inner Child Healing?

Your inner child is the aspect of you that holds your childhood wounds and traumas. This can hold a wide range on the emotional scale, anything from a single incident, loneliness to a difficult home life to abuse or neglect that somehow is still affecting you today. Your inner child may also be holding onto behavior patterns that do not serve you, such as low self-esteem or negative thinking.

The good news is you can heal your inner child! This process can help you to release the grips of the past and move forward into a more positive future.

Here are some tips for healing your inner child:

Going into the subconscious. You may want to do a guided meditation or hypnotherapy session to get to the route of any unresolved themes or issues that may arise from childhood.

1. Acknowledge your feelings. It’s essential to allow yourself to feel whatever emotions come up without judgment. This can be a difficult process, but it’s necessary in order to move on.

2. Write a letter to your younger self. In this letter, you can express your feelings and offer words of wisdom and comfort. This is a great way to work through any anger or resentment you may feel toward your younger self. Once you’ve acknowledged your emotions, it’s important to express them in a healthy way. You can do this through journaling, art, music, or any other outlet that feels safe for you.

3. Forgive yourself. It’s important to forgive yourself for any mistakes you may have made in the past. This will help you to move on and focus on the present.

4. Visualize your inner child being healed. Imagine your inner child being surrounded by love and light. See them being healed of all their wounds and traumas. This is a powerful way to send healing energy to your inner child.

5. Seek professional help. If you’re having difficulty healing your inner child on your own, seek out professional help. A spiritual coach, healer or therapist can provide you with support and guidance during this process.

6. Be patient. Healing takes time, so be patient with yourself. Allow yourself to go at your own pace and nurture the process.

By healing your inner child, you can release the past and move forward into a more positive future. These tips can help you to get started on the journey of inner child healing.
